Warm

She was positioned near the cafe's door, at the corner where visitors regularly enter and leave. The mind pauses and work comes to a much-needed stop whenever a stranger opens that huge glass door to step in or walk out. A breeze of warm air enters the space inside with every push/pull of the door, colliding with the chilly temperature generated by an air-conditioning system. Into the room, into her skin. As if pulling her favorite blanket that had become a tangled mess under her legs or on the floor after hours of sleep, to once again feel warm and comfortable. She was one to twist and turn.
